This policy explains what information is collected when you use kjforklift.com.au, why it is collected, and who it is shared with. It covers this website only.

Who we are

Information you give us

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form we collect the information you enter. Depending on what you choose to fill in, this may include your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, the type of enquiry you select, and whatever you write in the message field. Only your name and email address are required; the rest are optional. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and to supply the products or services you ask about.

Your enquiry is delivered to us by email through a third-party email delivery service. It is not published anywhere and it is not used for marketing unless you ask us to contact you about something further.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one records technical information as you browse: the pages you visit, how you arrived, the approximate region you are in, your device type and browser, and how long you stay. This is collected through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, described below. It is used to understand which pages are useful and which of our advertising is working.

We also record when a visitor clicks our phone number, our WhatsApp button or our email address. We record that a click happened and which link was clicked. We do not record who clicked, and no name, email address, phone number or enquiry text is ever sent to Google or Meta.

Cookies and similar technology

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses the following.

Set by us

kj_attr records the advertising campaign you arrived from, so that if you later submit an enquiry we can tell which advertisement led to it. It stores campaign identifiers only, never anything about you personally. It expires after 90 days.

kj-compare is stored in your browser's local storage and remembers which forklift models you have added to the comparison tray, so the list survives if you navigate away. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Set by others

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager set cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. The Meta Pixel sets cookies used by Meta for advertising measurement. Embedded YouTube videos and the Google Maps panel on our contact page may set cookies when you interact with them. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which limits what YouTube records until you actually play a video.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Information reaches the following service providers because they operate parts of this website:

• Google for Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Ads, Maps and YouTube.
• Meta for advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel.
• Our website hosting and content delivery provider, which serves this website and filters malicious traffic.
• Our email delivery provider, which passes your enquiry through to our inbox.

These providers store and process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

Advertising

We advertise on Google. When you arrive from an advertisement, the link may carry a click identifier that lets us see that the advertisement produced an enquiry. We use this to measure which campaigns work. It does not identify you to us by name.

How to opt out

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well afterwards. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can control how Google personalises advertising at myadcenter.google.com, and Meta's advertising controls are in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

How long we keep information

We keep the information we collect for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, and for longer where a law requires or permits us to. In practice, enquiries stay in our business email and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Analytics information is retained by Google for the period configured in our Analytics property, and is held in aggregate rather than against your name.

Children and young people

This website is aimed at businesses, and the equipment we sell is commercial machinery. We do not direct this site at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a young person has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@kjforklift.com.au or call 1800 663 661 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection and enquiry data is transmitted securely. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
