Reach Trucks

A reach truck extends its forks forward into racking rather than carrying the load out in front of the wheels. That single difference lets it work in a much narrower aisle than a counterbalance forklift, which is how a warehouse fits more pallet positions into the same floor area.

The decision is usually height and aisle width together. Taller lift means more storage per square metre, but it also demands better floor flatness and more operator training, so it is worth being honest about both before specifying. Stand-on models suit frequent dismounting and shorter cycles. If you need to go narrower still, very narrow aisle turret trucks take the same idea further. If your loads are lighter and the racking lower, a stacker may be enough.
